Battle of the Tapes is a branded music competition by Vodafone CU, created in collaboration with Dynasty Group Athens and hosted by Mikros Kleftis, designed to spotlight emerging hip-hop talent and connect the brand with contemporary youth culture. The campaign unfolds through live rap battles and performances, capturing raw musical expression, audience energy, and the pulse of the urban music scene.

The sound design captures the authentic hip-hop energy of the commercial, built around the main track by Black Delorian. Some scenes were shot in locations previously featured in the artist’s earlier videos, and subtle samples from those clips were woven in as Easter eggs. This approach created a cohesive audio landscape that connects the visual references, the Delorian motif, and the storytelling, while reinforcing the rhythm and tone of the music and urban culture.
