Sound design played a key role in bringing this Land Rover Defender film to life.
None of the sounds you hear were captured on the day of the shoot. There was no original production audio from that scene. Everything was built entirely from scratch.
We started by researching the Defender in depth, studying how this exact model sounds in different conditions. From there, we recreated the engine tone and vehicle movement to feel authentic as it travels through changing landscapes, asphalt, gravel, mud, and water.
Each surface was designed individually, layered carefully to match the visuals and the pace of the drive. Even the atmospheres were fully constructed, with every SFX chosen to support the specific environments the car moves through.
The goal was not just realism, but immersion, Making the Defender feel grounded in nature, as if it truly belonged in every frame.
